Well, well, well. I guess word travels fast in the world of bloggers. I don't think I told any friends about our blog yet, but you all found me! I was feeling a little self conscience about my writing skills, since everyone else seems to be seasoned, so I was working up to telling everyone that I had jumped on the wagon... but the cats out of the bag now, so read up.

Winter is finally here. I'm feeling the need to knit and bake bread. I love this time of year. It's just a few short weeks that I actually like the snow, then the next 4 months I'm longing for Spring and cursing the cold!

I have the nicest husband ever! Yesterday morning, right before he went to work, I asked him if he could help me move this giant armoire upstairs. You must know that I ask him to help me move furniture about every other day because I'm always changing things around, and he always drops everything to help me (mostly, I think, because he knows I'll try to do it myself, even if it means trying to move our couch up the stairs). Anyway, it became a serious game of tetris that took an hour and a half because it just wouldn't fit around the corners on the stairs. At one point I actually said, maybe we'll have to take this wall out to get it up here," and Ashley replied, "let's try a few more things first". I know that he really would take the wall down if that's what it took, just because his crazy wife wants an armoire in her room, that probably wasn't meant to be there in the first place, because it doesn't fit! We did finally get it up there after getting it stuck, taking the doors off, and lifting it over the railing a few times... Thankyou Ashley! I love you!!!

It's early. Maybe not so early as dark. The house is so quiet, a rare thing, and I'm feeling peace. It's not often that I have time to myself, and I'm loving the solitude. I'm afraid to turn on the light, start breakfast, or do anything that might awaken a small child. So, I'm blogging because it's quiet and requires no light other than the glow of the screen.
Life is really good now. My kids are bringing me much, much joy these days. What will we do today? Draw more pictures of "Monsters" (stick figures with some sort of scribbles on their bodies), go outside and stomp in piles of leaves that they beg me to rake into piles over and over so they can jump in them, throw them, kick them and bury themselves (and me) in them, or play endless games of, "Mommy, count to three" which is basically 'hide and go seek' except I count to ten, (yes, I do count to ten even though they still say three and we've gone over it a million times, they just like three) while I watch them hide in the same spot everytime, and then pretend I don't know where they are until they decide they're ready to jump out and say, "BOO".
Which adventure will we choose? We won't decide just yet. We'll wait for the day to take us there.
I hear the first kiddie steps of the day...
